    Sun 16 Jul 2017
Congratulations everyone! That ‘everyone’ includes every single child in the school who has contributed skill, effort and perseverance in all of their PE lessons. As well as all of the children who have participated in the variety of school sports clubs and events over the year….
And including, all of the staff who have organised and delivered these lessons and sporting opportunities for the children….
And all of the parents and helpers who have helped and supported the events and encouraged their children to ‘have a go’even at sports that they may find challenging. A big St. Margaret’s Thank you’ needs to go especially to Mr. Rose who has taken a lead in so many of these opportunities which has allowed us to be awarded such a prestigious award.

  • Budgets 2017 - Funding Crisis

    Mon 19 Jun 2017

    Dear Parents and Carers

Please take the time to read the information in the Parents Newsletter section of this website (Federation Letter - Budgets 2017). It is very important and requests your action. The Federation budgets are under great stress for the reasons you will see. The governors have recently set up a working group to look into ways to save money whilst not affecting your child’s education. The Governors and Federation leadership team believe the Government can be persuaded to increase funding appropriately if all MPs understand the issues and lobby for change. Please help us to help you and your children.

  • Pupil Premium Letter

    Fri 10 Mar 2017

    Dear Parent / Carer

If you are in receipt of an appropriate benefit the school may be able to apply for significant extra funding to help support your child’s learning. We are asking parents who are in receipt of any of the following benefits listed below to please claim for this entitlement.

Income Support or Income-Based Job Seekers Allowance (but not Contribution Based Job Seeker’s Allowance).

    • The Guarantee Element of State Pension Credit.

    • Child Tax Credit where the family’s annual income as assessed by HMRC is not in excess of £16,190. Please note that families who are also entitled to Working Tax Credit do not qualify for Free School Meals.

    • Support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999.

    • Income Related Employment and Support Allowance (but not Contribution-Based Employment and Support Allowance)

Applying for Free School Meals has never been easier. Parents can either call 01926 742060 or visit www.warwickshire.gov.uk/freeschoolmeals and receive an instant decision regarding eligibility. Any information you provide will be treated in absolute confidence.

If you are successful in your application, in addition to the money to help support your child’s learning we will allocate your child a total of £50 over a school year to spend on school trips / school uniform / school shoes etc.

    How it works:

    1. Parent and school receives notification from the council that child / children are in receipt of free school meals
    2. Your options are to use the £50 per year as soon as you receive notification or spread the amount over the year
    3. The amount can only be spent on school trips, music lessons or uniform

    4) School uniform purchases should be made via the Uniform Shop on the school website: http://juniors.briarhillstmargarets.co.uk/school-uniform-shop/. Please ask for the invoice to be sent directly to school stating ‘Pupil Premium’.

If you have any other queries or need further advice or support completing the forms then please do not hesitate to make an appointment with myself, Mrs Beeston or Mrs Lorberg via the school office where we will be happy to help you complete this.

    Yours sincerely

    Mrs S Atkins

    Assistant Head Teacher
