Congratulations to all the St. Margaret’s children and staff for being awarded the Sainsbury’s School Games Mark. This award recognises the effort and good sportsmanship of our children and the range of sporting activities available across the school. Particular thanks needs to go to our sports coach, Mr. Rose, Miss Tait our P.E. subject leader and all our other members of staff who run sports clubs throughout the year. We will now be aiming for silver … and, maybe, gold!

Our Year 5/6 girls’ football team have continued to perform exceptionally well in the local schools’ football league. Mr. Rose reports that their most recent success was an exceptionally well played match against Newburgh Primary. Supported skilfully by their team mates (Harriett, Georgia B, Georgia C, Molly R, Francesca G and Simran M), Elspeth performed some fantastic saves and Holly F scored a well-timed second half goal to secure a win for our team of 1 – 0. The team happily brought home trophies and are through to the County Finals. Well done girls!
