Cross Country – The Year 6 children who represented St. Margaret’s in the first Mid Warwickshire Cross Country event of the season, on 22nd September at Southam College, showed superb determination and perseverance. Their positive attitude paid off with all of our runners doing very well and Kimmy placed in the top 20 in the girls’ race and Stephen and Jacob in the top 10 in the boys’ category. Our boys’ team were actually first in the boys’ team ranking! Congratulations to all who took part and best of luck for the next event!

Biathlon – On 26th September, twelve Year 5 and 6 children took part in the local schools’ biathlon at Warwick Boys’ School. They each had to swim 25 metres and then run 400 metres, with their endeavours being timed. All the children put in maximum effort, with ours boys’ team coming 4th out of 17 teams and the girls’ team coming 14th out of 22 teams. Thank you to all the children who represented St. Margaret’s so well. We are all VERY proud of you!

  • WE ARE A NUT FREE SCOOL

    Tue 09 Oct 2018
As we have several children on role with severe nut allergies, may we politely remind parents that children are not allowed to bring in nuts as part of their break time snacks/packed lunches - this includes nutty cereal bars. Although ‘healthy’ for many people, even the smell or touching these foods can have a severe effect on some of our children. Thank you for following this rule.
  • Jeans for Genes Day - Friday 21st September

    Fri 21 Sep 2018
Our first fundraising event this term is a charity to raise money for supporting children with genetic disorders. Children can come in to school wearing their jeans/own clothes and where families can contribute, we would welcome £1 donation. Thank you.
  • Year 6 Production Time Change

    Wed 11 Jul 2018

Well done England for a fabulous win on Saturday. Further to our text message and letter of last week,we have not received any messages from families that moving the production forward would cause a problem.

Therefore, as stated in the contingency plan, we would like children to return to school at 4.30pm on Wednesday and 'The Pirates of the Currybean' will start at 5pm.

Thank you. 'Break a leg' Y6 and good luck England!

After registering as usual, classes will spend the day with their teacher/s for next academic year; finding out which will be their classroom and learning a bit about what they can look forward to during their next year at St. Margaret’s. Our current Year 6 children will be visiting their new secondary schools.
  • Sports News!

    Fri 25 May 2018

A huge “Well done!” to all our children involved in the athletics meetings at Campion School this week. This has been one of our most successful times at the local area athletics competition - coming 1st in 17 of the 20 races and 7 of the 20 field events! In the rest of the events our pupils either finished 2nd or 3rd. "Congratulations!” from us all.

Also the school football team were crowned league champions earlier this year, making this a 3rd league win in 5 years. The children received winning trophies and a league shield, hopefully we can make it two years in a row for league champions!

  • Cross of Nails

    Thu 10 May 2018
The Cross of Nails from Coventry Cathedral came into school as part of the Diocesan Centenary celebrations. A welcoming committee of children, staff and our Chair of Governors, Mr. Hawke, received the Cross of Nails from the Head teacher and children from Bishops Tachbrook School. Through assembly time and class activities, children across the school explored the themes of Peace and Reconciliation. Before the Cross of Nails was taken to St. Margaret’s church to be shared with the church community in a family service led by Rev. Suffern, a group of children who make up our the Worship Group took the cross to Briar Hill and explained to the infant children about our school’s link to the Cross of Nails community. With the Cross of Nails back in school after the bank holiday, Rev. Suffern led school worship before a ‘Giving Party’ of staff and children from St. Margaret’s transported the cross past St. Margaret’s Church and across the fields to Radford Semele Primary School from where the cross has continued its pilgrimage around all of the C of E schools in the area. Well done to all of the children who took part in the events and for every class completing such thoughtful and reflective
