SEND

At times in a pupil's school life, they may need an extra helping hand to help them reach their full potential. St Margaret's places a high value on ensuring all our pupil's are appropriately taught through high quality provision and first class teaching. If extra support is needed, through working alongside our families, we provide a range of interventions and specialist support.

We recognise that all children have a right to a broad, balanced and differentiated curriculum and ensure they are assessed and helped.

We aim to:

  • create a happy, educationally exciting and positive environment in which all pupils can develop to their full potential and become confident, independent individuals.
  • identify, assess, record and regularly review pupils' special educational needs, encouraging parents/guardians to be involved in planning and supporting at all stages of their child's development.

Our SENDCo across Briar Hill and St Margaret's is Mrs Ruth Beeston. Please get in touch with the school if you have any questions.

The Children and Families Act 2014 requires that all local authorities make significant changes to their special educational needs and disability (SEND) services by September 2014.
