Personal, Social and Health Education (P.S.H.E.) and citizenship help to give children the knowledge, skills and understanding they need to lead confident, healthy, independent lives and to become informed, active, responsible citizens. The National Curriculum framework for P.S.H.E. and Citizenship makes explicit the contribution that some aspects of health education and citizenship make to the personal and social development of pupils. This is taught in conjunction with the new SEAL program which teaches PSHE in a more whole school approach. As well as in lessons, PSHE is accessed through visits from the school nurse. We are currently implementing a new SRE and Drugs Education scheme which will be introduced to the school in the new year.
