This subject is taught in such a way that pupils get used to studying a wide variety of source material and thereby develop their skills of evaluating, collating and recording evidence. In order to further greater understanding, first hand experience is offered wherever appropriate. To this end, educational visits are organised to places of historical interest and the local area around the school.
The topics enable the children to become aware of past events in this country and overseas. Our schools’ cross curricular approach aims to support children’s individual abilities and interests.
